COLORING WITH TWINKLING H2O'S

The saying “Everything old is new again” is often proven true in stamping.  Many of us were sad when Luminarte shut down and we couldn’t get their very popular shimmery watercolor paints any longer.  Fortunately, “Twinkling H2O’s,” are now being produced by another company.  I have ordered four basic sets and in this class we will use them to give sparkle and shine to three original cards.  Not only will you learn how to use these colorful paints, but you will discover nifty ways to showcase your painted designs using Spellbinders dies especially border dies.  Bring class kit and a #2 watercolor brush.

NOTE: You really have to see these cards in person to appreciate the "twinkle."  The watercolor has mica in it and that makes it so shimmery.  Stop in and see!

CARDS WITH THAT VINTAGE LOOK

Vintage is a huge trend because we all like the nostalgic feel it lends our artwork.  Come to this class and discover how easy it is to make cards with that vintage, distressed look.  We will use stamps from Penny Black and Hero Arts as well as embossing folders, border punches, die cuts and lots of embellishments.  I guarantee you will learn some new tricks and tips that will enhance your stamping.  Bring class kit, Ranger ink blending tool, Tea Dye and Vintage Photo distress inks and craft sheet.

SOUTHWESTERN CARDS WITH COPIC MARKERS

We have new Southwestern Stamps from one of our favorite companies, Outlines Rubber Stamps.  These two stamps have wonderful designs and are so much fun to color with Copic Markers.  In this class we will use the stamps, markers, punches and embossing folders to create several cards with a true Southwestern flair!  Bring class kit, foam tape and a black Tombow marker.  Ask for a list of markers we will use.

PENNY BLACK STICKERS

AND GLIMMER MIST

In this class you will learn how to use a palette of soft pastel Glimmer Mists to create gorgeous, shimmery backgrounds for water colored stickers by Penny Black.   We will die cut some of the backgrounds and stickers and combine them with punches, pearls and crystals for 4 beautiful cards.  This class will really get your creative juices flowing so be sure to join us!

DIE CUTTING WORKSOP

You bought a die cutting machine, but the book is lost and you don’t know how to use it.  Or you know the basics but would love to venture beyond just cutting a simple circle.  In this workshop you will refresh your basic skills and learn new ones as we make 7 cards using the Wizard or the EPIC 6.  This fun and very informative workshop will include cutting with dies from Spellbinders, Quickutz and Sizzix as well as embossing with Impressabilities and Cuttlebug embossing folders.  Bring your regular class kit as well as your Wizard or EPIC 6 dies cutting machine with all the necessary plates, cutting and embossing mats.  Please also bring: needle tool, removable tape, adhesive eraser and foam tape.  If you do not have any of these items you may purchase them at The Stamp Act.  Please ask me to reserve them when you register.

GARDEN PARTY

Let’s have a garden party with Just Rite Stampers “My Garden” and “Seeds of Kindness” sets.  You will learn that just because the stamps are round, it doesn’t mean you are limited to that shape.  Yes, we will mount some of them in the round, but we will also use other shapes as well as using the stamps by themselves as a background.  We will color them with Copic Markers and use lots of other embellishments from ribbon and brads to borders and glitter.  Join us for this fun and informative class!  Bring class kit and foam or dimensional tape.

RECIPE BOX

This class in initiates our Christmas gift classes.  My niece is a new bride and she has asked me to send her the family recipes she remembers her grandmother making for her.  This box is perfect for holding cherished recipes.  We will make the box from one piece of cardstock and fill it with 9 recipe divider cards.  The box is 4½” tall by 6” wide.  The box will also hold the “Fruit Cards” we will make this afternoon.  A perfect hostess gift! Bring class kit.
